- A steel alloy with carbon with 0.12% to a maximum of 2%.
- The steel alloy may not contain zirconium, chromium, tungsten, molybdenum, cobalt, nickel, titanium or any other material.
- A steel bar may contain less than 0.4% copper.
- The steel bar may contain 1/65% manganese or copper (0/6%).
